Real Madrid’s former president Florentino Perez has been in charge since June and will leave the club in the summer after the Champions League final defeat to Juventus.
However, Perez has not made any official announcements, but the news of his departure has been confirmed by a source close to him.
Perez has been out of work since the final of the Champions league in 2015, when he was sacked by Real Madrid for the same reasons.
The Spanish FA announced in June that it would be closing the club’s domestic and international competitions until at least December.
Pesquera will continue as a consultant to the board and the board will decide whether to appoint him as interim coach.
