PORT OF MAMIBIA, Fla.
— No dock at Pier 4 in Port of Florida is needed to help ease traffic, officials said Monday.
Pier 4 in the Port of Tampa is the only docking area in the world that’s not owned by the state.
The dock was established in 1998 to help reduce the amount of time it takes vessels to dock in the area.
It’s a critical link between the international shipping industry and the Port, which handles about 10 million barrels of oil and more than 300 million gallons of water daily.
