Port Chester, Pennsylvania’s port authority, is under investigation by the FBI

PORTS CHESTER, Pa.

— — The Port Chester Port Authority says the agency is investigating allegations of criminal activity related to the sale of Port Chester’s Port Erie Terminal and Port Chester International Airport terminals.

The investigation began when an email was received in January from a member of the public claiming to be from a Port Chester airport official.

Port Chester officials have said they were aware of the email and that no official had made the claims.

Port authorities are also looking into allegations that the Port Chester Airport Authority may have used the airport terminal and Port Erie terminal for illegal gambling purposes, the port authority said in a statement.

The Port Chester Police Department, the Port Authority’s inspector general and the FBI are investigating.
