The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday that running back C.C. Prosis will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a calf injury against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Prosises will miss “approximately four to six weeks” and will miss a minimum of six weeks of action, according to the team.
He was limited in practice on Tuesday.
Prosistis is the second running back in the past month to suffer a serious injury in the same game.
Running back Trent Richardson (crib) missed the past two games with a hamstring injury.
The Seahawks signed running back Devontae Booker to the practice squad on Oct. 30.
Prositestis was named the NFC rushing champion by Pro Football Focus (PFF).
He has rushed for 1,099 yards and seven touchdowns on 101 carries (6.7 yards per carry).
The Seahawks have a bye in Week 16.
